The CAPiR offers a "in vivo multi-imaging facility" among the preclinical research services. Such a platform, in further expansion, is currently equipped with:
- PET/CT multimodal system
- Optical imaging X/ray multimodal system (fluorescence, bioluminescence, Xray, radioisotopes)
- High-frequency ultrasound system, equipped with stage and micromanipulators for ecography and ultrasound-guided surgery for small animals
The mission of the Preclinical Imaging Platform is to provide users with the most advanced technologies in the field of in vivo research, together with the necessary professional skills, with particular regard for animal modeling, regenerative medicine, pharmacology and toxicology.
