Optical Imaging facility

Optical Imaging Facility is an optical imaging system/Xray (Xtreme II - Bruker) for small animals, particularly versatile and fast, allowing you to get fluorescence, bioluminescence and Xray imaging, and the detection of radioisotopes.

The overlapping of Xray images with fluorescent and bioluminescent signals allows a precise anatomical location of the light signals, combining the anatomical data with a lot of functional  information. The range of light frequencies viewable is very wide, from visible to near infrared, allowing the use of a wide variety of molecules conjugated with several fluorophore of different chemical nature,  frequency of excitation/emission and administration route.
